If you have a routine maintenance concern, please call our office to request an appointment.

In some cases, you may need to seek quick or immediate help. In cases of severe emergency such as fire, contact the Fire Department immediately, then notify CBCR. For other situations, please use the following table to determine the severity of your issue and decide who to contact.

Broken fixtureYes/No This is only considered an emergency if it affects the security of the premises. If you can still lock your door or secure your window, for example, please wait until business hours before you contact CBCR.
Disposal brokenNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance.
Drain clogsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance. After hours or on weekends, if the drain is essential and the repair cannot wait (i.e. it is the only toilet in the house), you may call the emergency line.
Freezer problemsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance. In the meantime, you may want to use Styrofoam coolers or ice chests, or borrow a friend or neighbor's freezer.
Fuse blownNO Flip appropriate switch on circuit breaker. (Generally there will be a switch that says OFF that needs to be turned back ON.)
Gas odor/leakYES Call PG&E immediately (1-800-743-5000) for assistance, then notify CBCR.
Heater problemsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance.
Hot water problemsNO If hot water tank is leaking everywhere, turn off the gas line, turn off the water heater, and turn the water valve off at the top of the heater. Mop up any water on the floor.
Leaks (major)YES Shut off water valve (under sink/toilet or outside) ASAP! Then, if during business hours, contact CBCR immediately. After hours or on weekends, call emergency line.
Leaks (minor)NO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance. Place a bucket under any leaks until they are repaired and keep the area mopped up to avoid damaging the floor.
Lock-OutNO Call a locksmith.
Noise & neighbor disputesNO Notify Police Department.
Oven/stove problemsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance.
PestsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance.
Power outageYes/No Call PG&E (1-800-743-5000) to determine if an outage has been reported in your area - this will usually provide you with an estimate of when the problem will be fixed. If the outage continues to be unexplained, check your circuit breakers (flip all switches to OFF, then back ON). If all else fails, call CBCR. Note that partial outages do not constitute an emergency, so you will need to wait until business hours.
Refrigerator problemsNO Call CBCR during business hours to request maintenance. In the meantime, you may want to use Styrofoam coolers or ice chests, or borrow a friend or neighbor's fridge.
Water pipe burstYES During business hours, call CBCR immediately. After-hours or weekends, call the emergency line.

After hours: When absolutely necessary, you may page CBCR staff after hours at (707) 445-8822, extension 3. This is only to be used in cases of genuine emergency.

Please give us time to receive the page and respond to the problem. If you do not receive a response within 1 hour, you may try the emergency line again.

Important: Please note that if the need for repair arises from negligence or misuse on your part, or refusal to wait until business hours when the issue was not an emergency, CBCR will not be obligated to pay for or reimburse you for any charges.
